David del Campo

For ten years, I combined my job as a lecturer on aerospace engineering my passion for photography. In this time, I studied photography in El Observatorio (Barcelona) and a I took workshops with photographers such as Christopher Anderson, Evgenia Arbugaeva, Maya Goded, or Alberto Garcia-Alix among others.

Finally, I decided to dedicate myself completely to what I like the most, uniting photography and teaching. Now I combine my personal projects with participatory photography workshops for people at risk of social exclusion through the association El Catalejo, which I co-founded.

As for my personal work, I have published and held exhibitions in Spain, Nepal, Colombia, Kurdistan or Iran. I have recently self-published my first photobook, 3/8, about identity, memory and uncertainty in the Yazidis refugee camps of Turkish Kurdistan.
