David del Campo

For more than ten years I combined my passion for photography with a job as a lecturer of aerospace engineering at University. Now I am exclusively dedicated to photography, through personal documentary projects and participatory photography workshops for people at risk of social exclusion. I have published and exhibited projects in Nepal, Kurdistan, or Iran.

After two years working on a project on identity, memory and uncertainty in Yazidi refugee camps in Turkish Kurdistan, I have published my first photobook, 3/8.

I have also designed and developed participatory photography projects in Colombia and Nepal, and I am co-founder of the association El Catalejo, in which we use participative photography to reverse social stigmas, by connecting people of varying backgrounds and groups.
